“Artifacts” the stunning debut novel by released to the world tomorrow May 19th by inspired this piece by - The dark side of the museum world, young ambition, the Italian Alps, mythology - much of the imagery in this print is illustrative of the novel, which centers on an artifact inspired by the Lycurgus Cup, from around 300ad and through extraordinary nanotechnology changes color from green to red. Objects themselves are spectacular, but the journey they travel through centuries are the amazing ways they hold our history. This is a mystery novel, but I love all the museum industry knowledge Natalie weaves through the story! Natalie and I crossed paths many years ago via the (though I was by then). We are so excited for her and this beautiful story to debut tomorrow!
