March 2021 – Problem Gaming Awareness Month

J&J encourages our establishments to make problem gambling resources known to all, but especially someone needing help. Resources include:

- Text “ILGAMB” to short code 53342. This will start a text messaging dialogue with helpline counselors.
- Phone 1-800-GAMBLER or 1-800-426-2537. Calls are answered by an operator and quickly transferred to a licensed counselor who will obtain demographic information, ask about their gambling habits and determine what motivation tactics might be helpful to effect the changes wanted.
- Enroll in Motivational Messaging. This provides for a subscription to received 2 texts per week for 3 months to help address a gambling concern. This enrollment is done through the texting hotline.

We appreciate your help with encouraging a responsible gaming industry.

Our crew wants you to know we've been working hard to make our store openings safe for you- we are hanging dividers between our machines and will have plenty of PPE on hand.

As always, we will disinfect machines and restrooms between uses!

Lucy’s Place takes the current COVID-19 crisis seriously, and we are doing everything we can to support our employees and their families as we work through this unprecedented crisis. We have furloughed all of our employees and we are continuing to pay them even though we have been force to close since March 16. Lucy’s Place has not laid-off any employees, and we hope that the new federal loan program will allow us to continue our paid-employee furlough program through April 30, 2020.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Lucy’s Place, Daisy’s, and Tiffany’s Place were ordered to shut down on March 16.

This order has been extended by Governor Pritzker to April 30, 2020.
