🚨 LASER TATTOO REMOVAL: MYTH vs. FACT
There are A LOT of misconceptions about laser tattoo removal, so let’s clear a few things up! 👇
❌ MYTH: The laser burns the tattoo ink out of your skin.
✅ FACT: The laser targets the tattoo pigment and breaks it into smaller particles. Your body then does the work of gradually clearing those particles.
❌ MYTH: One treatment should remove the tattoo.
✅ FACT: Tattoo removal is a process! Most tattoos require multiple sessions, and every tattoo responds differently.
❌ MYTH: If you don’t see a huge difference immediately, it didn’t work.
✅ FACT: Your tattoo can continue fading for WEEKS after your appointment. The process doesn’t stop when you leave the treatment room!
❌ MYTH: The stronger the laser setting, the faster the tattoo disappears.
✅ FACT: Higher isn’t always better. Safe, appropriate settings are important for effectively targeting pigment while protecting your skin.
❌ MYTH: Every tattoo takes the same amount of time to remove.
✅ FACT: Ink color, density, depth, tattoo age, location, skin characteristics and your body’s individual response can all play a role.
❌ MYTH: Laser tattoo removal always leaves a scar.
✅ FACT: Scarring is a possible risk, but it is NOT an expected result of properly performed treatment. Following your aftercare instructions is important, too!
❌ MYTH: Once the skin looks healed, it’s ready for another treatment.
✅ FACT: Your body may still be working on that ink long after the surface has healed. That’s why we allow plenty of time between treatments.
✨ Tattoo removal isn’t an overnight process—but watching that unwanted ink get lighter and lighter is pretty amazing.
