Salado High School Theater is presenting ‘Puffs’ with the first performance November 6th! Come see ‘Puffs’, a play by Matt Cox, that follows the "Puffs," a group of students at a certain magical school, through seven years of adventure, particularly focusing on the side characters often overlooked in a more famous hero's story. The play centers on three friends—Wayne, Oliver, and Megan—as they navigate school, friendships, and their own sense of importance in a chaotic world, ultimately learning that everyone has their own way of being a hero.

News Release – SHS THEATRE PRESENTS THE OUTSIDERS

Salado Theatre will debut The Outsiders on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. in the high school cafeteria and will repeat performances on Saturday, Nov. 17 and Thursday, Nov. 21.

Salado’s fall show is directed by senior Sean Murray and has a cast and crew of over 30 students.

The novel by S.E. Hinton is a favorite in many 7th and 8th grade English classes. The story is about a 1965 teen gang in rural Oklahoma, the Greasers, who are perpetually at odds with the Socials, a rival group. When Greasers Ponyboy Curtis and Johnny Cade get into a brawl that ends in the death of a Social member, the boys are forced to go into hiding. Soon Ponyboy and Johnny, along with the intense Dallas Winston and their other Greaser buddies, must contend with the consequences of their violent lives. While some Greasers try to achieve redemption, others meet tragic ends.
