Sometimes the most beautiful transformations arenโt about becoming someone completely differentโฆ
Theyโre about uncovering the beauty that was there all along๐ค
This beautiful young woman has walked through some hard seasons. Her story is hers to tell, so I wonโt tell it for herโbut I will say this:
I am SO proud of the woman sitting in my chair today.
Sheโs rebuilding.
Sheโs growing..
Sheโs choosing a different pathโฆ
And sheโs becomingโจ
Today we didnโt completely change who she was.
We removed what was weighing her down, brought life back into her hair, and reminded her of the beauty that was already there.
And isnโt that so much like what God does with us?
He doesnโt look at our past and decide weโre ruined.
He restores.
He renews.
He makes beauty from the places we thought were too broken.
โTo bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashesโฆโ โ Isaiah 61:3 ๐ค
THIS is why what happens behind my chair will always mean more to me than just hair.
Sometimes itโs color.
Sometimes itโs a haircut.
Sometimes itโs a fresh start.
And sometimesโฆ itโs watching a woman begin to see HER again๐ฅนโจ
