What started as an idea to bring people together has continued to grow into something truly special, and we are so grateful to every sponsor, performer, vendor, volunteer, community partner, and attendee who helped make this year’s festival possible.

We’re excited to announce that the St. Pete CommUNITY Festival has advanced as a finalist for Creative Loafing Tampa Bay’s Best of the Bay — Best Music Festival!

What started as a free community celebration has grown into something truly special, bringing thousands of people together through live music, art, local organizations, family activities, and the spirit of our city.

Today we recognize Juneteenth, a day that commemorates June 19, 1865, when Union General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, and announced that enslaved people were free—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.

Juneteenth marks the effective end of slavery for many African Americans and serves as both a celebration of freedom, resilience, culture, and achievement, and a time to reflect on our nation’s history and the ongoing pursuit of equality and justice.
