Featuring Chief Ekpenyong Bassey Nsa (Nigeria), David Sanou (Burkina Faso), Sheku “Goldenfinger” Fofanah (Sierra Leone), and Hervé Youmbi (Cameroon), this groundbreaking exhibition celebrates the innovation, collaboration, and living traditions that continue to shape masquerade arts today.

Challenging long-held ideas of the “anonymous African artist,” “New African Masquerades” highlights the creativity, craftsmanship, and global influence of four contemporary artists whose work bridges cultural heritage with the present day.

🥧 Bake, create, and discover the stories behind one of America’s favorite desserts.

Explore pie as both a craft and a cultural artifact in this hands-on workshop with Café Clementine Founder & Creative Director Paulina Graniela and Kitchen Manager, Pastry Chef Cay Scheuer. Learn the secrets to flaky pastry, assemble your own seasonal hand pies, and discover how food connects us through memory, culture, and place.

Your ticket includes a welcome glass of wine, snacks, printed recipes, a box of hand pies to take home, a jar of house-made jam, and Museum admission to explore the galleries after the workshop.
