We have changed up our new teen program. We have switched shows to be able to allow more participation. Below is all the updated information.
Announcing Our New Teen Theatre Program!
St. Petersburg City Theatre is excited to announce our new Teen Program for high school students, which includes incoming freshman. Theatrical Teens of Tomorrow, starting this summer. Planned and developed by our newly created teen group facilitated by Austin Bennett and Susan Demers.
The first production will be August 13, 14 & 15 - The Servant of Two Masters - to be performed live at SPCT in a style and setting selected by our teens!
Auditions are June 1 at 7pm in person at SPCT (please wear mask or face shield) or by submitting a video in advance to
[email protected]. Auditioners are asked to perform something comedic, up to 2 minutes long: a joke, a comedic monologue or comedic reading. Actors may also be asked to perform cold readings.
Technical applications are due May 28th. You must be 15-18 years of age to apply.
Rehearsals this summer will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5pm to 8pm. There will be some Saturday rehearsals from 10am to 2pm on an as needed basis as the show gets closer.
This is a free program will include both expert instruction and teen led opportunities.
