Meet the Cast of Sister Act!

"SPCT has been my home away from home for the past couple of years, and I'm not sure what I'm going to do with myself when this season is complete! Everyone here is so kind and wonderful to work with, and it truly feels like a community every time I step foot through the door." - Taylor Landau

Gillian Isibue (Ensemble) Gillian is very excited to be making her debut with SPCT. Gillian’s most recent credits include fire dancing and clowning with Hip Expressions Belly Dance Studio’s biannual fire show, Tribal Burn. Gillian also has experience as a stage combatant for Bay Area Renaissance Festival and Metrocon, acrobat for Lumiere Circus, and actor for St Pete Shakespeare Festival. She is so happy to be back on stage this season!

Mauricio Monge (Ensemble) "At the age of 30, I realized life’s too short not to chase your passions — so I dove headfirst into acting! Being part of SPCT and this incredible cast has been such a gift. Stepping into the world of theater later in life, I wasn’t sure what to expect — but I found an amazing community of talented, welcoming, and passionate people. It’s been so rewarding to explore my creative side, take on new challenges, and simply play on stage. Every rehearsal, every performance, and every laugh shared backstage has reminded me how special it is to be part of something bigger than myself. I’m so grateful for this experience. Moral of the story? It’s never too late to surprise yourself — and I’m having the time of my life doing just that!” IG

Taylor Landau (Ensemble) Taylor Landau is thrilled to be in her sixth show with SPCT! She was last seen as Kitty Bennet in Pride and Prejudice. Other favorite roles include Violet/Diana (Play On), Belle (A Christmas Carol), and Rhoda (White Christmas). While she’s so honored to have been in all four shows during this centennial season, she’s also looking forward to some much needed rest and can’t wait to see what next season has in store. She’d like to thank her friends, family, and cast for their support!

Meet the cast of our upcoming musical SISTER ACT: Henry & Nathaniel

Henry Burrows as TJ
A lifelong actor, director, stage-manager, dancer, and model, Henry most recently danced with The Weeknd in the 2021 SuperBowl Halftime show! “I am a Tampa Bay native and I am thrilled to be doing a fun show like Sister Act! I have been directing and stage managing high school shows for several years, and this is my first time in a musical in 9 years! (My grand return to the stage haha). My friend Mauricio, convinced me to do this show with him and I am forever grateful! Doing this show means the world to me as a performer who has not performed in this sense in almost a decade! It’s like coming come. And I couldn’t ask for a more welcoming family to come home to. The cast has been so kind and funny and talented too! We are thrilled to bring this energy to Sister Act, a show about finding your chosen family. I’m excited to bring some joy and laughter to our audiences.” .godet

Nathaniel Beaver as Curtis Jackson
Nathaniel Beaver is a homegrown local actor. His first show at SPCT was back in June 2001. He holds a BFA in Acting from UCF. You can find him managing finances during the day in Downtown St Pete. He would like to congratulate SPCT on a very memorable 100th season! “SPCT is truly a beacon to the bohemian. From taking your first steps on the stage to dusting off your performance skills, SPCT taps into the pulse of the community and raises the roof, literally!” Nathaniel is a SPCT member and has performed in every mainstage production of the 24-25 season. “I have been locked inside the theater each night since Summer ‘24”

It's only one week until SISTER ACT takes the stage and "takes you to heaven"! As the cast enters tech week, we'd like to introduce them to you. Meet Caron and Michelle!

Caron Davis as Deloris Van Cartier
This is Caron's Debut performance with SPCT and is simply happy to be here. Caron would like to thank the cast, admin, and crew for being so welcoming and warm since the first day of auditions. “This character is one of the many dream roles of mine and I'm excited to get the chance to put the rambunctious energy of Deloris to life. I'm also excited to work with SPCT for the first time. Although I've been here a short time, I've had a lot of fun meeting SPCT members and getting to know my castmates.”
Favorite part of Sister Act: “The “line, ‘Well ain't it my lucky day! I got a guy who wants to kill me and a cop with no gun. Goody, goody’ - I feel that this line perfectly encapsulates the plot and the energy of the show in one sentence.”

Michelle Schmittas Mother Superior
Michelle is a SPCT member and is thrilled to be back on stage with her SPCT family! She was recently Martha Watson in White Christmas. The music and themes in Sister Act connect with her. She's grateful for the opportunity to be part of this wonderful production. This will be her 3rd show with SPCT. “Ever since my first show, this theater has made me feel at home. I enjoy the process and meeting everyone.”

Favorite part of Sister Act: “My favorite moment is during "Bless This Show. There's a moment when Deloris realizes SHE is a Sister and she cares for the Nuns. It gets me every time.”
