Next weekend The Florida Orchestra will be presenting Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4 at the Palladium on April 1st! WITH VAUGHAN WILLIAMS’ THE LARK ASCENDING

Wedged between Beethoven’s Eroica and his monumental Fifth, the Fourth Symphony doesn’t get enough credit for its cheerful, engaging beauty that is pure Beethoven. Award-winning violinist Tianwa Yang revels in the range of the violin, from the soulful soaring of Vaughan Williams’ The Lark Ascending to the fiery pyrotechnics of Ravel’s Tzigane. The concert begins with Symphony No. 2 by Joseph Bologne, also called the Chevalier de Saint-Georges, the first-known classical composer of color, in Paris in the late 1700s.

PRE-CONCERT CONVERSATIONS: Get the real story behind the composers and their music, straight from the conductor and guest soloists. Starts one hour before each Masterworks concert in the theater. Beethoven’s only opera, Fidelio, has captivated audiences worldwide with its themes of justice, freedom, and the power of the human spirit so we are very excited to have the St. Petersburg Opera Company bring it to the stage of the Palladium this weekend!

Leonore’s husband, Florestan, a political rival of the villainous Don Pizarro, is wrongfully imprisoned. Determined to rescue him, Leonore disguises herself as a young man named Fidelio and gets a job in the prison, earning the trust of the jailer, Rocco. As news breaks that a government official is visiting the prison to investigate rumors of cruelty, Don Pizarro decides to execute Florestan. Will Leonore be able to save her love from certain death? This Saturday, March 25th, sign up to dance with and learn from ProjectAlchemy company members in preparation for their Jazz Theory performance happening at the Palladium on April 27th! $35 tickets are seats in the interactive zone, where performers will come up to you and interact during the performance. Jazz Theory explores jazz music and dance creation focusing on the sense of ritual hidden in each practice. Our Story

The Palladium is the only venue of its type in the Tampa Bay area. Featuring two performance spaces, the 850-seat main concert hall Hough Hall and the intimate, award-winning 175-seat candlelit listening room The Side Door, The Palladium fosters artistically and culturally diverse performing arts, educational, and film programs.

The Palladium was designed to be cost-effective for local community groups to rent, and affordable for Tampa Bay residents to attend.

Inherent in the Palladium’s mission is its commitment to artists that promises to help them develop, flourish and grow. The Palladium has delivered on that promise to many, but especially to three programs for which the Palladium has been their artistic home from each’s respective beginnings. They are our Artists in ‘Residence. - The Palladium Chamber Players, Beacon Contemporary Dance and The Florida Bjorkestra.

The Palladium also showcases selected programs of St. Petersburg College and affords their students a myriad of opportunities to work intimately with renowned touring professionals as well as with local artists.

St. Petersburg Opera Company is teaming up with Star Trolley - Arrive In Style and the Museum of the American Arts & Crafts Movement (MAACM) to provide convenient parking and shuttle service for all mainstage operas!

Parking will now be available only two blocks from The Palladium at St. Petersburg College at the Museum of the American Arts & Crafts Movement (MAACM) Parking Garage: 350 3rd Street North, St. Petersburg, Florida 33701, for only $1 per hour.

Star Trolley's services will run every 15 minutes from the entrance of the MAACM garage to The Palladium Theater, beginning 1 hour before each performance and returning guests following the show.

Love, lust, betrayal, murder – the charismatic diva Tosca is at the center of it all! Puccini’s tragic masterpiece is a powder keg of politics and religion, making it one of the world’s most popular operas. As storms of repression and rebellion rage through Italy, the diva is forced to play a real-life role she never imagined, fighting to save the love of her life, Cavaradossi, from the corrupt Baron Scarpia, who vows to kill his romantic rival if he cannot have her.

𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲.

Composer David Manson and recipient of the first John Collins Arts Endowment at the Community Foundation Tampa Bay, Individual Artist Grant, shared the many upcoming performances he's got scheduled this fall in Creative Pinellas' Arts Coast Magazine!

He has free concerts of new work that he's composed for O Som Do Jazz at SPC's Music Center on September 15 and at the Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art on October 21 thanks to the NEA/Pinellas Recovers grant.
