A sunny room on an upper floor is prime real estate in the Bristol Place Senior Living Facility, so when the cantankerous Abby is forced to share her quarters with new-arrival Marilyn, she has no choice but to get rid of the infuriatingly chipper woman by any means necessary. A seemingly harmless bet between the old women quickly escalates into a dangerous game of one-upmanship that reveals not just the tenacity of these worthy opponents, but also deeper truths that each would rather remain hidden.

Trouble? What trouble? The Radio Theatre Project laughs at trouble in this month’s show so come for the fun.

In a Bogey and Bacall parody, the wise-cracking detective and his sultry partner find trouble in the tropics. Paul Wilborn and Eugenie Bondurant (remember Noel Berlin and Belle?) renew their wise-cracking banter in “Calypso Pearl” by Steve Bretschneider. James Rayfield’s “Somewhere Over…” is a political satire with local flavor, and Terry Faust is back with more satirical lunacy in “Lives of the Welders”.

Welcome Back to Radio Theatre
Monday, Oct. 27 at 7 PM
At The Studio at 620

The new season kicks off with 3 surreal radio plays. James Rayfield adapted “The Squeeze” from a novel just for The Radio Theatre Project and just in time for the spooky season. It’s a blend of mystery and the supernatural set in Florida’s backwaters. Playwright Mike Murphy ventures into a Twilight Zone with “12”. George’s own superstition and warnings from a psychic stranger guide his actions, but it turns out interpretation really matters. A cross between “Airplane’ and “The Twilight Zone’, Terry Faust’s “Unpleasantness at 20,000 Feet” takes silliness to a new high.
