Dedicated to Jane Goodall, this sculpture celebrates a life spent observing, learning from, and connecting with the natural world. A layered rainforest scene emerges within the glass, echoing the sense of curiosity and wonder that has inspired generations through her work.

Alison Ruzsa creates narrative glass sculptures by layering painted imagery within clear molten glass. Drawing on her background in printmaking, she builds depth both physically and visually, allowing each work to reveal itself gradually from different angles.

Stephanie Trenchard creates cast glass sculptures that weave together personal memories, historical narratives, and universal human experiences through a rich visual language of symbolic forms and imagery.

Her sculpted and painted elements are encased within solid sand-cast glass and often assembled from multiple stacked or nested components, creating layered works that invite multiple interpretations. Rooted in both technical mastery and collaboration,

Trenchard embraces the fluid nature of glass as a storytelling medium, crafting poetic narratives that explore the artistic experience, personal relationships, and the enduring connections between past and present.

Ryan Bavin was raised in the Columbia Valley, where a lifelong connection to the outdoors shaped his artistic vision. He learned glassblowing from his father, Pat Bavin, at the age of fifteen and later expanded his training at the renowned Pilchuck Glass School. Today, he operates Bavin Studios and is recognized for his nature-inspired glass artwork.

Bavin draws inspiration from the mountains, rivers, and wildlife surrounding his home in southeastern British Columbia. As a certified hiking guide and photographer, he documents the landscapes he explores and uses these images as references in the studio. Through traditional hot-glass techniques, he transforms these experiences into vibrant sculptures that celebrate the beauty of the natural world.

Born in Virginia and raised in part in Vienna, Austria, Matthew Stern discovered his passion for craft through ceramics before pursuing a BFA in Craft and Material Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he fell in love with glass. He further honed his skills at the renowned Penland School of Craft and Pilchuck Glass School and moved to Seattle in 2019 to continue his glass career.

Today, Stern balances his own studio practice with work at Fremont Antique Glass, where he produces sheet glass using traditional techniques. His work reflects a strong foundation in craftsmanship, blending technical skill with an ongoing exploration of the possibilities of glass.

Kazuki Takizawa is a Japanese glass artist based in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a BFA in glass art in 2010 and currently owns and runs KT Glassworks.

As an artist who lives with bipolar disorder, Kazuki Takizawa uses glass as a means to explore his inner reality and destigmatize mental illness. In an aim to give the invisible shape, Takizawa crafts elaborate vessels and installations, each with a unique story.

Universally rooted in a dialogue around mental health, his series examine broad themes such as attaining minimalism among chaos as well as personal narratives around family, and his individual challenges. Takizawa has travelled to numerous communities in and outside the US to share his work and act as an advocate for mental illness. His practice offers an uncommon and inclusive space to increase awareness and start a conversation.

Born into a family of master engravers in Norway, Eileen Gordon transformed a rich glassmaking heritage into a pioneering career in blown glass. After studying in the UK and refining her craft in Australia alongside some of the world’s leading glass artists, she became a key figure in Australia’s Studio Glass movement and co-founded the Tasmanian Glassblowers.

Now based in Red Hill, Victoria, Eileen continues to create alongside her family, representing the third generation of the Gordon glassmaking dynasty. Her internationally exhibited work is celebrated for its vibrant use of colour, inspired by the changing moods of the Australian landscape—from dramatic sunsets to delicate dawn light.
