My friend Jeff R. Kelledes said, “Meet me at an apothecary on Central Avenue.” I thought, “How interesting could that be?” I parked next to a bank, walked down an ordinary little path… and somehow stepped into another world. There were drums, bonfires, tarot readers, herbalists, massage tables, fairy lights, and winding jungle paths. One minute I was on Central Avenue. The next, I wasn’t.
