Join us for Preserving Family Stories: A Simple Guide to Recording What Matters Most, a FREE interactive workshop at the St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre! Learn how to thoughtfully capture the life stories of loved ones through interviews, oral histories, and meaningful conversations.

Led by journalist Nate Birt, this workshop will provide practical tools you can use right away to create family keepsakes and preserve memories for future generations. Participants will also learn about the St. Charles County Library’s oral history kits available for checkout.

Choose one session:

• September 11 | 10 a.m.–Noon

Does your home or office generate scrap, discards, or overruns that are destined for the trash, landfill, or recycling bin? Donate them to the Cultural Arts Centre! By donating your discards or scraps for Art Camp, your material donation goes to help children create a wonderful variety of art projects related to the themes we will be studying this summer. Donations should be multiples of an item, clean, and usable by youth.

Congratulations to Ashli Blankenship of Walter Knoll Florist for winning the Floral Design People’s Choice Award in our *Petals & Ponies* exhibit!

Ashli’s stunning floral design was paired with Makenna Burton’s oil painting, *Whispers of Winter*, creating a beautiful blend of fine art and floral artistry. Thank you to everyone who visited the exhibit and cast a vote for their favorite arrangement! 🌿🎨

🇺🇸🎨 The St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre is proud to once again be a Blue Star Museum this summer! This program is presented by Blue Star Families.

Blue Star Museums offers free admission and programming for active-duty military personnel and their families, including the National Guard and Reserve, from Armed Forces Day through Labor Day.

Featuring the America250 Pen & Paint exhibit, work by Adel Abudayeh — a United States Marine Corps combat veteran and multidisciplinary artist based in St. Charles — and artwork by Elizabeth Sloan, the late wife of Mark Sloan, a 5-time Purple Heart recipient. The Sloan artwork is an acquisition from the Sloan estate.

✨ Our Cultural Arts Centre Staff Picks continue for the “Off to the Races” Art Show! ✨

Today’s featured favorite is “Flowing Strides” by Laketa Searcy (acrylic), chosen by Cultural Arts Centre staff member Chris. This piece was also the Petals & Ponies Artwork People’s Choice winner!

Chris shared:
“This painting caught my attention right away! I love how colorful it is. I can see and feel the determination and the movement.”

First up is Registration Specialist Melissa’s favorite piece: “Madame Poppy” by Cecilia Gilbert (acrylic).

Melissa shared:
“I loved this piece the moment I saw it. The colors, the expression on her face… we all saw joy, happiness and celebration. It made my day!”
