Introducing my latest shell-decorated treasure boxes. One theme, two completely different vibes! 🐚🎨 I wanted to create two different ways to bring coastal beauty indoors:

🐚 The first is a vibrant turquoise heart-shaped box topped with a dense mosaic of hand-arranged seashells. A blue/gold-toned ribbon wraps around the lid for the perfect touch of glamour.
🐚 The second is this lovely hexagonal box with a softer sky-blue finish, a charming vintage latch, and a cozy cottage-core feel with its lace, burlap, and doily details.

Both are perfect for holding jewelry, small mementos, or just adding a splash of beach style to a shelf.

Living right by the beach, my shell collection is constantly growing, so finding new ways to create with them is always on my mind! 🌊✨
I’ve tackled quite a few shell projects in the past, everything from dimensional glazing, mosaics and decoupage to building shadow boxes, jewelry boxes, and accessories. But over the last few weeks, I decided to pick up a paintbrush and try something new. I took these plain scallop shells (and some sea stars and a sand dollar) and added detailed linework, pastels, and metallic gold/silver trim. Turning these coastal finds into detailed, polished art pieces like this is so rewarding! ✨🎨
