Tonight we start again. Come see what reviewers are calling stellar and well-executed.

“GUT is a stellar piece of theater, well-executed from start to finish. It’s intense but also cathartic, and very much worth your time and money to go see. Based on the size of the audience the night I was there, reservations are a good idea - the place was pretty packed.

There’s four more chances this weekend to catch “Gut” at the Hive Collaborative (https://www.thehivecollaborativemn.com/) (677 Hamline Avenue North, Saint Paul, MN 55104) - Thursday, Friday, and Saturday May 28 to 30, 2026 all at 7:30pm, closing on Sunday May 31st with a 2:30pm matinee.

Tickets available through the link in our bio or online here: https://tix.gobo.show/events/event/ZXbRht1lSFLwuIiySBIO)

5 stars - Very Highly Recommended”

Meet Dani (Danielle Krivinchuk), who plays Maddy in GUT and inspired this whole US premiere. We asked the team a few questions about the project and here’s what Danielle had to say:

Q. What drew you to the project (Gut)?
A. The script is so beautifully written, is intense, and takes you on such a journey - I fell in love with it as an audience member when I saw it’s premiere in 2018 and I knew I wanted that challenge as an actor.

Q. This show follows Maddy’s mental health spiral. What is your favorite thing to do for your mental health?
A. Be in nature. Sometimes that’s stepping outside to feel the sun on my face, others it might be to feel the cold wind and look at the moon. Walks are great too.

Q. This show has a ton of children’s toys as props. What was your favorite childhood toy?
A. My bald cabbage patch doll that had a piece of pretzel stuck in her head.

Q. What is your favorite moment from the play that involves another character?
A. Honestly, I am so blessed to be acting opposite such talented scene partners, it’s hard to choose any one moment.

Meet Julie, who directed GUT. We asked the team a few questions about the project and here’s what Julie had to say:

Q. What drew you to the project (Gut)?
A. I love working with Dani, she’s a smart actor plus I am drawn to stories where a female protagonist drives the action, even if she’s flawed. So when Dani brought me this script and I finally got around to reading it early in the pandemic I told her if she ever produced it I would direct it.

Q. This show follows Maddy’s mental health spiral. What is your favorite thing to do for your mental health?
A. I go find a tree to sit under when things are overwhelming.

Q. This show has a ton of children’s toys as props. What was your favorite childhood toy?
A. It was incredibly important to me as a child that all my toys knew they were loved equally by me and so I cannot betray them now by picking favorites. (But it was the Fischer Price My friend dolls. I had a set of 4. Jenny was my favorite).
