Pas de Deux Dance Studio

Pas de Deux Dance Studio Ballet classes and performances for all ages (3-adult) in a family friendly, supportive community serving the Twin Cities metro area.

Ballet classes, with an annual spring recital, are offered for all ages and abilities:
Baby Ballet, ages 3 - 4
Preliminary Ballet, ages 4 - 7
Ballet Technique Classes (Ballet 1 and higher), ages 7 +
Teen / Adult Ballet, ages 13 +
Pre-Pointe and Pointe, ages 11 +

We also offer a variety of other opportunities, including a full length Winter Ballet Production, a spring competition, and dance trips.

* age 4 - 7: Pre Ballet: Wednesdays 5:15 - 5:45 pm OR Fridays 4:45 - 5:15 pm
* age 6 - 8: Intro to Ballet 1: Tuesdays 4:30 - 5:15 pm
* age 7 - 12: Ballet 1: Thursdays 4:45 - 5:45 pm

First pointe shoes are a milestone moment for ballet dancers!

At Pas de Deux Dance Studio, eligible dancers enroll in Pre Pointe, spending the first half of the year building up the required strength and flexibility needed for safe pointe work. Once the needed skills are attained (for most dancers in January), dancers get their first pointe shoes.

Our pointe program is designed so each dancer progresses at their own pace. In Pre Pointe and Pointe 1, each pattern begins at the barre, and dancers are individually given permission to move into the center as they are ready. While Pointe 2 and Pointe 3 dancers go straight to the center for some steps, they always have the freedom to return to the barre when coming back from illness or injury, breaking in new shoes, or wanting the extra support while working on a new skill.
