Earning All-State honors during her final bowling season, Highland Park Senior's McKenzie Green finished the regular adapted bowling season as the No. 1 ranked player in Minnesota and placed fifth at the state tournament in singles. Playing for the Humboldt High School Hawks, she also went to state with the adapted floor hockey team and played on the adapted softball and soccer teams as well. She will continue her education at Focus Beyond Transition Services next year.

“McKenzie has played on our adapted soccer, floor hockey, softball and bowling teams for four years,” said her coach Mary Bohland. “McKenzie is one of the most coachable players we have ever had. She works hard to improve herself and also at helping others reach their abilities. We may not have won every game, but we did learn something every game with sportsmanship being our No. 1.”

Unofficial results (as of April 28) have been posted for the State Finals of the 2026 Minnesota USBC Youth Scratch Championships!

This year Sun Ray was represented by 5 of our many talented bowlers.

Congrats to State Champion Nate O who bowled in the "Boys U10" division and scored 1st place scholarship money with his 214-182-127 games for a series total of 523!

Congrats to State Champion Mila D who bowled in the "Girls U8" division and scored 1st place scholarship money with her 96-140-99 games for a series total of 679!

Bowlifi Minnesota Youth Singles Championship district results as of April 24 have now been posted!

As it currently stands, of the 10 competitors sent from Sun Ray, 6 bowlers appear to have advanced to the State Finals and will be bowling at Great River Bowl in Sartell, Sunday, May 17, at 11:00 am!!

NOTE: ALL confirmed finalists were mailed a confirmation letter from Josh Hodney. If you have not received your letter by May 5, you need to send an email to Josh Hodney ([email protected])!
