NCECA Claytopia 2019 at the Schmidt, March 25th-30th
The National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) is a diverse group of people centered around a love of ceramics. We are professors, students, makers, collectors, manufacturers, suppliers, writers, curators, all connected through clay. Once a year, we gather in a host city to spend the week together, exploring many topics and ideas surrounding this wonderful, pliable medium that enchants us all. Our annual conference includes a variety of opportunities for the local community to share in our enthusiasm, including our gallery expo and projects space opening reception and exhibition throughout the week, our opening ceremonies, shows at local galleries and museums, special exhibits and opportunities at the convention center like the National K-12 Ceramics Competition and Show, our annual cup show and sale, and our educational and moving presentation of some of our past masters, including Minnesota’s own Warren MacKenzie.
