Surprise surprise look who grabbed another 3rd place ribbon at the state fair 😱
I’ll try and get a good picture of the blanket I made for my entry once I get it back when the fair is over. But for now, you can see a little chunk of the blanket if you swipe to the next picture. I used a bubble stitch throughout and did a gradient of greens, blues, and purples. I think this might be the favorite blanket I’ve made so far.

Candy Cane Yarn Skeins

These are the final products from my Christmas yarn dying experiments. I’m super happy with how they turned out, especially since I was dying cotton yarn, which hasn’t always been my favorite. I’m particularly pleased with how the colors stayed so dark and rich. What do you think? Would you be interested in getting some of your own? These are destined to become some Christmas dishcloths, but I might just dye some more 🤔

Cooking up something for Christmas 🎄

First time dying yarn in the new house and it’s like night and day between the new kitchen and the old one. It’s amazing what having enough space to work will do for your creative and mood!

Something new made with something old.

I’ve been working on a crochet blanket project for about a month now, and it’s almost finished. I’ve been using one of the crochet hooks that used to belong to Zack’s great-grandma to make it, hence the “something old”. I like to think she knows they’re still getting put to good use.
