To our TMO fans:

In a typical year, we would have announced our upcoming 50th season by now and told you how excited we are to dive into another set of wonderful concerts together as we celebrate 50 years of TMO! But life in 2020 has been uncertain and unsettling, and our usual plans have had to wait while we all hope for calm and good news. Before we can return to the stage, we must be sure that musicians and listeners can all come together in safe venues with appropriate caution. At best, we are now looking at a more limited season and a limited number of possible seats available, but even before that we will be watching how life develops to get a clearer idea of what is reasonable to plan for.

In the face of this, we won’t be announcing a full season as usual this year, since we can’t know when concerts may be possible again. Instead, we have several programs planned that we will announce and ticket individually, whenever this can be safely done. Hold onto the dates and cross your fingers! — Mar 7, 2021, and Apr 11, 2021.

We will be in contact with you on Facebook and on our website and emails as we plan, so be sure to keep checking for updates. The Musical Offering is patiently waiting with you for the right time to resume our concerts, and we hope to be in contact with you now and then with some music from our past seasons to tide you over. You’ll hear from us again soon when we have music posted!

To our TMO community,

The Musical Offering joins with other Twin Cities arts organizations, the citizens of Minnesota, and people all over the world in grieving the killing of George Floyd.

As musicians, we seek to bring beauty and solace to our audiences as we challenge ourselves and our listeners to look beyond our lives to see other viewpoints. We believe this is exactly what we need to do as a nation.

We believe Black Lives Matter.
We believe we can work together with compassion and empathy for a common good and a better world.
We believe music has the power to heal.

It is with sadness that we announce the cancellation of The Musical Offering's May 17 concert due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and in accordance with the latest governmental guidelines.

For those with tickets to our season finale concert, we hope you will consider contributing the value of your ticket(s) as a tax-deductible donation to TMO. Many are now grappling with the long-term effects of the current situation; likewise, The Musical Offering is having to consider the long-term financial impacts on our musicians and organization. Your contribution helps to ensure continued performances by the Musical Offering for seasons to come.
