Tomorrow night, 825’s YALT is hosting their FIRST monthly youth music night! Every third Thursday from 6–8 PM at 825 Arts for musicians and music lovers ages 14–21! The first event is an indie-rock fairy garden themed jam session with karaoke, crafting, and live performers. Catch it June 18th from 6-8pm at 825 Arts.

Each month features a new theme inspired by different music genres and vibes from indie fairy garden nights to rock showcases and more. Expect live performances, creative energy, free water, a candy bowl, crafts and a welcoming space to connect through music.

Delicious food will be provided free of charge while attendees discuss the latest air quality rules proposed by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) and write public comments together.

Tomorrow at 825 Arts! The SEAD Project is excited to announce the launch of Mekong Journeys: Raising New Villages, a living digital archive preserving the stories, memories, and histories of Southeast Asian communities.

Through oral histories, storytelling, and art, this project honors 50 years of resilience, migration, rebuilding, and community care. Together, we celebrate the stories that shaped our communities and ensure future generations can continue carrying them forward.

Introducing Rhythm Riot! The first Third Thursday event of the summer, Rythm Riot is a fairie-garden indie-rock night for music lovers ages 14-21. Join us June 18th from 8-10pm to jam out in good company!

This is the first of our Third Thursday events, where YALT is hosting a monthly youth music night every third Thursday from 6–8 PM at 825 Arts.

Our next Art BQ is Tuesday, June 16th from 6–8PM at MLK Rec Center, and we will be showcasing our Minecraft History Project! Come play and learn about the history of the neighborhood directly from Rondo elders, while exploring models of the places they lived in and loved.

June’s Artist of the month is Damian Schaab, a papercutting artist born and raised in Frogtown! With just a blade and paper, Damian creates intricate images that reflect layers of experience.
