Today is International Cat Day, which seems like the perfect time to remind you that NEXT Saturday, August 15, is a big day on St. Clair Ave. It’s the grand opening celebration of The Mustache Cat at 2030 St. Clair — our friends have so much planned — music, food, giveaways, art, and much more. And here at The Yarnery we’ll have a kitty petting and adoption event, 11am-3pm, with Rainbow Whiskers Kitten Rescue

Happy Monday! St. Clair Ave is getting some much-needed paving work this week. Yay! The shop will still be easily accessible, though today you can’t park on St. Clair itself. Park around the corner on Cleveland, on Berkeley Ave behind us, or the parking lot directly behind us. You can use the T-shaped alley to access our back entrance if you park behind the shop. See you soon!

There’s not one K O K O N B L E U shade of blue, there are six! We love the new additions, and have them all, in an expanded range: Fi*****ng, DK, and Kidsilk. And for a special surprise — handmade, hand-glazed pottery buttons, designed to pair perfectly with the yarn. Really lovely. All available in-store and online now.

a. 100% of the proceeds from our One Yarn products benefit amazing organizations here in Minnesota.
b. If you steal one of our awesome One Yarn embroidered caps (as someone did Friday), you are a terrible person on many levels.
c. If all the rest of us support One Yarn this weekend, that will put the good in the world back in balance!

A bingeworthy new kit! TV Knitting uses 6 colors of Noro Yarns Silk Garden, and is about as easy to knit as it gets. We’ve packed as much color into one scarf as we can. Put it down for a week or two, no problem picking it back up again. Knit while you’re doing something else, no backtracking to fix a mistake — sometimes that’s just the kind of knitting we need. 3 colorways, available now in-store and online. Enjoy!
