Only 15 days left until the Shadow Falls Art Fair! Teddy Gustafson will be back along with his daughter Nova. Teddy Gustafson is a mixed-media artist, mapmaker, and licensed architect based in the Shadow Falls neighborhood of Saint Paul, Minnesota. His work explores the relationship between landscape, ecology, and the built environment through layered compositions inspired by cartography, topography, and architecture. A graduate of the University of Minnesota and UC Berkeley, Gustafson combines his background in architecture and landscape design with a passion for biodiversity and preservation, imagining cities and natural systems as one interconnected environment.

Only 27 days until the Shadow Falls Art Fair! Meet glass artist Pete Lewis: During his career as a practicing architect, Pete developed his hobby of creating stained/leaded glass windows and art pieces. As his interest in glass grew, Pete learned how to fuse glass so that he could incorporate organic shapes into his leaded glass pieces. Fusing quickly became the focus of his work. Now retired and living in St. Paul, Pete is pursuing his dream of becoming a fused glass artist. He works with pieces, frits and powders of colored glass to create what he considers to be paintings made of glass. Subjects vary from people, places, landscapes, creatures (real and fictional), and artistic creations. His artistic influences are mainly impressionist paintings and Chinese/Japanese/Korean ink brush paintings. “There is beauty in all things everywhere. I feel privileged when I try to capture that with the glass medium”

Only 33 days left until the Shadow Falls Art Fair! Meet artist Connie Starns: "Weaving began for me when I found a large stash of materials left from my mother-in-law, a prolific quilter. They were too nice to toss out so I explored learning how to weave a rug with the scraps of those materials. Lessons at the Weaver's Guild, as well as inspiration from on-line sites started my joyful journey. Now I spent many a pleasant hour weaving towels, rugs, place mats and other household goods."
