Happy National Farmers Day! 🌾

Agriculture is at the heart of St. Paul.

Did you know just how diversified agriculture is in our town?

Grass seed
Sweet corn & field corn
Wheat & clover
Hazelnuts
Grass straw
Garlic
Hops
Green beans
Berries
Nursery trees & plants
Broccoli, cauliflower & other vegetables
Radish, sugar beets & other seed crops
Squash for edible pumpkin seeds

And that’s just a portion of what our local farmers produce!

This year, we partnered with Oregon Aglink to place crop identification signs throughout the St. Paul area, helping visitors traveling to the rodeo learn a little more about what’s growing in the fields around them.

Those fields are more than scenery on your drive into town. Agriculture supports our local economy in so many ways, from the farms themselves to the many local businesses that provide irrigation, equipment, trucking, agronomy, fabrication, seed, crop services and more. It means local jobs, family businesses and products that make their way into homes across the country.

Next time you’re driving through St. Paul, take a look around. You might just learn something new about Oregon agriculture.

And a fun fact to share with your friends and family: the arborvitae you see in our rodeo arena is grown right here in St. Paul!

We are so grateful for the time we shared with our 1956 St. Paul Rodeo Queen, Janice Altenhofen.

Seventy years after representing the St. Paul Rodeo, Janice returned this Fourth of July to celebrate our 90th anniversary with us. As our oldest living Rodeo Queen, she helped lead our anniversary parade and joined generations of past royalty in celebrating a tradition she was so proud to be part of.

When asked about her time as the 1956 Queen, Janice summed it up perfectly: it was “FABULOUS!”

And having her back in St. Paul 70 years later was pretty fabulous for us, too.

Janice passed away September 23 at the age of 89. We feel incredibly fortunate that this summer gave us another opportunity to visit with her, celebrate her, hear her stories and remind her just how special her place in St. Paul Rodeo history will always be.

Our thoughts are with Janice’s family and all who loved her. We’re grateful she will forever be part of our St. Paul Rodeo story. ❤️

One of our 2026 St. Paul Rodeo Champions is headed to the National Finals Breakaway Roping! 🔥

After this 2026 season with $148,284 in earnings, Jordi Edens-Mitchell qualified for her second NFBR.

Alongside her at the Finals will be fellow 2026 St. Paul Rodeo Breakaway Champions, Josie Conner, Haiden Thompson and Martha Angelone.

Next stop: Fort Worth, Texas, December 18–19, where the Top 15 in the world will battle it out at Will Rogers Coliseum.

From St. Paul Rodeo Champion to No. 1 in the World. 🔥

Noah Lee made his mark in St. Paul this Fourth of July with an 89-point ride on Humboldt of Sankey Pro Rodeo & Phenom Genetics to become our 2026 Bull Riding Champion.

Now, Noah is headed to his first NFR as the No. 1 Bull Rider in the World, and he’s taking a new PRCA regular-season earnings record with him.

From starting the year on his PRCA permit to $405,040 in earnings in one season. 🤯

What a year for our 2026 champion. We’ll be cheering for Noah all the way to Vegas!

When the St. Paul Rodeo got its start 90 years ago, 50 Oregon cowboys and cowgirls came to St. Paul to rodeo on the Fourth of July. We’ve been proud to cheer on Oregon contestants ever since.

Right now, three Oregon cowboys are sitting inside the Top 15 in the World Standings in steer wrestling, and Baker City’s Jesse Brown is officially #1 in the WORLD!

We first watched Jesse make his way to the NFR in 2020, and we’ve been cheering him on ever since. We’ve been lucky to watch him back in our arena year after year.

Congratulations, Jesse! Oregon is cheering for you, and St. Paul sure is too.

We’ve gotten to watch an incredible season unfold for so many of the contestants who came through St. Paul this summer, and Shad Mayfield is certainly one of them.

St. Paul was one of Shad’s first rodeos back after returning from injury, which made having him in our arena this year that much more special. Since then, it’s been pretty fun watching the season he’s put together.

We sure love having you here in St. Paul, Shad.
