Obituary for Barbara Ellen Bouldin
Barbara "Barb" Ellen Bouldin, 88, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 14, 2026. A woman who could be a bit feisty, yet incredibly loving and always impeccably put together, Barb left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Barb was born on June 7, 1937, in Carson City, MI., the daughter of Lester and Flossie (Dukes) Waldron. Throughout her life, Barb embraced many different opportunities, including helping build a weather device used during the first trip to the moon, and later working alongside her mother in the family bar where her outgoing personality and quick wit made her a favorite among many.

Creative and talented, Barb loved crafting from an early age. She enjoyed designing and making her own Halloween costumes and later created costumes for her children, many of which won "Best Costume" honors year after year. In later years, she found joy in making her own jewelry and sharing her creativity with others.
Barb also had a true need for speed. While living in California, she proudly drag raced her 1967 Mustang, a pastime that perfectly matched her bold and adventurous spirit. She enjoyed playing card games, Bingo, knitting, making candies, cooking, and most of all being surrounded by people. Barb was an active member of the Eaton Area Senior Center and a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary. She was always there for a late-night phone call, offering guidance, wisdom, and unconditional love to those who needed her most.

Barb was incredibly strong and proud to be a two-time cancer survivor, facing life's challenges with determination and resilience. Above all else, she was most proud of her family, who were the center of her world and the greatest joy of her life.

Barb is survived by her children, Kimberly (Chuck Gallt) Loomis and Wayne (Jessica) Haughton; grandchildren, Angel Swaynie, Dominique Haughton, and Logan Haughton; great-grandchildren, Dorian, Stormie, and Rory; siblings, Wendy Jensen, LJ Waldron, Nancy Johnston, Rollie Trayer. She was predeceased by her daughter, Patti Bouldin; parents, Flossie and Raymond Burden, and Lester and Frances Waldron; siblings, Emma Hamilton, Emery Waldron, Joyce Hyde, Freda Lowery, Terry Waldron, Randy Waldron, Maxine Hitchcock, George Jackson, Roger Trayer, Ron Trayer, and Bonnie King.

Friends are encouraged to support Barb's family by attending services or sharing memories on her Tribute Page at www.prayfuneral.com. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Pray Funeral Home in Charlotte with Rev. Dr. Luis Collazo officiating. Visitation will be held just prior to the service from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. Interment at Sumner Cemetery in Sumner Township, MI. will take place on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. The funeral will be webcast so you may watch it from any computer, smartphone, or mobile device that has internet access. Go to www.prayfuneral.com, click on Barb's tribute, then click on Photos and Videos from your computer (or Media from your smartphone). If desired, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Eaton Area Senior Center. The family is in the care of Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
