•Links to any site or content posted by automatic software programs (i.e. “bots”)
•Posts and comments that advocate illegal activity
•Personally identifiable information or sensitive personal information that if released violates federal or state law
•Political statements that endorse or oppose political campaigns or candidates
•Information that could compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems
•Information that directly interferes or compromises ongoing investigations, public safety tactics or the safety of public safety officers
•Confidential or private information or data in violation of state or federal law
•Information that appears to violate the intellectual property right of the city or a third party under federal or state law
•Comments that are not directly related to the topic of the social media post to which the comment is responding. We also reserve the right to delete spam, posts that advocate illegal activity and posts that infringe on copyright. Please note: Comments expressed on the city’s social networking sites do not reflect the opinions or positions of the City of St. Louis Park, its employees or elected officials. The Park N' Play van will be out and about all summer long bringing fun games, crafts and activities to city parks and events.

STEP--St. Louis Park Emergency Program is also offering a Summer Eats Program that will be providing free lunches, breakfast/snack packs and weekend meal boxes (varies by day). This is a separate program and a full schedule can be found on STEP's website, but there are a few times each week where community members can enjoy Summer Eats and Park N' Play activities:

🥪Mondays at Ainsworth Park: Mobile Rec from 10:45 a.m. – noon and STEP from 11:30 – 12:30 p.m.

🥪Tuesdays at Oak Hill Park: Mobile Rec from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and STEP from 12:45 – 1:15 p.m.

🥪Wednesdays at Ainsworth Park: Mobile Rec from noon – 1:30 p.m. and STEP from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Due to cold temps and inclement weather in the forecast, the Aquatic Park will be closed today, June 11 for the entire day. We will reopen tomorrow at our regular hours. Did you know the city offers a program for anyone that lives, works or attends school in St. Louis Park who may need financial assistance to participate in our recreation programs?
Our Access to Fun scholarship offers financial assistance for Aquatic Park season passes, parks and recreation special events and programs, and Westwood Hills Nature Center programs.

About Access to Fun:

👉 Eligible family members can receive up to $200 in fee assistance per calendar year (January–December).

👉 Participants pay the first 50% of the program or activity fee.

👉 Eligibility is based on household size and income, and you must live, work or attend school in St. Louis Park.

👉 You can apply online or in person at the Rec Center.

Free outdoor yoga begins this Saturday, June 13!

New and experienced yogis are invited to join us Saturdays from 10 - 11 a.m. and Thursdays from 8 - 9 a.m. at Veterans' Memorial Amphitheater. Classes will be taught by our certified yoga instructor, Judy!

Our Summer Concert Series is back! 🎶

We are partnering with St. Louis Park Rotary Club to bring you amazing concerts all summer long. All performances are free and held at the Veterans' Memorial Amphitheater, 3700 Monterey Dr. In the event of severe weather, call the weather line at 952.924.2567 for concert status.

We also have a special Kids Summer Concert Series on Wednesdays from 10 - 11 a.m. and Open Mic Nights on Thursdays from 7 - 8 p.m.

We're excited to celebrate Juneteenth in St. Louis Park with a special lineup of events!
Join us for a family movie night featuring Disney and Pixar’s Soul on June 15 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at the Lenox Community Center, 6715 Minnetonka Blvd. This uplifting film explores music, purpose and the joy found in everyday life. Free snacks while supplies last. Registration required through St. Louis Park Community Education.

Experience a lively performance from Black Storytellers Alliance featuring characters from African and African American folktales and the storytelling traditions of the African American community at the St. Louis Park Library on June 16 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Cohosted with St. Louis Park Community Education and St. Louis Park Parks and Recreation.

Enjoy SoulFlower at our summer concert series on June 17 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. at Veterans' Memorial Amphitheater, 3700 Monterey Drive. SoulFlower brings a blend of soul, dream pop, and alternative rock to this free outdoor Juneteenth concert. Their sound mixes delicate, raw energy with melodic, rhythmic layers that create an immersive experience. SoulFlower describes their music as a spontaneous, therapeutic practice that channels and releases emotion.

Celebrate Juneteenth with an evening of roller skating, music and community on June 18 from 5:30 – 8 p.m. at our Rollin' @ the ROC series, 3700 Monterey Drive. Enjoy a live DJ, Cave Cafe food truck, free roller-skating lessons from Twin Cities Skaters, and a performance by Wheels of Expression. Park 'N' Play will also be on-site. Admission and skate rentals are free.

Hosted by St. Louis Park Community Education, St. Louis Park Parks and Recreation and Hennepin County Library, our event series is a celebration of freedom, resilience and cultural heritage. The events are for all ages.

Come Walk the Park this Saturday, June 13 from 9:30 – 10:30 am. We will take a guided outdoor walk exploring the trails and lake at Westwood Hills Nature Center. Participants should meet at the front entrance of the nature center, located at 8300 W. Franklin Ave.

This month's walk will be led by Larry, our Parks Superintendent, and will feature a couple of special city staff guests, including Jamie Fleck, a naturalist, and Judy Voight, the city's lead gardener.

We had over 60 kids complete the third annual Kids Swim-Bike-Run event on June 2!

Kids could participate in one of three divisions (Cheetah, Ostrich or Zebra), with each division entailing a different duration of swimming, biking and running. Keep an eye out for this event to return next summer, right in time for pool season!
