Really enjoyed helping out First Lutheran Church of St. Joseph, MO with their North Pole Elevator. This was my first event of the season and such an awesome way to kick things into gear. Although Santa was a fun addition to the experience, they kept Christ at the center of it all. I loved that the most.

Tell me a favorite Christmas memory of yours!

Here’s mine:
I was probably 4 or 5 and I heard some noises outside. Then I saw a silhouette of a Santa through the window. I was afraid someone was trying to break in and immediately yelled for my family. I was in tears and terrified (the plan may have partially backfired 😂).

We went to the back door and then I saw him. Santa gently took one step inside before he shockingly realized I was awake. My jaw was on the floor. There he was, the REAL Santa. And I knew he was real because his eyebrows were frosted from the arctic North Pole temperatures.

I started out afraid but went back to bed mesmerized. I had just seen Santa. The magic was real. Christmas was coming and all I had to do was go to sleep and wake up to it.
