We experienced a very spirited senior prank this morning, thanks to graduating senior Cole's creative planning. Although a few classes may have been temporarily disrupted, almost everyone enjoyed the humorous musical interruption!

Congratulations to the SJSD 8th Grade Orchestra!

Students from Bode, Robidoux, Spring Garden, and Truman Middle Schools competed in the Silver Dollar City Music in the Parks Festival in Branson on April 25.

They earned 1st place in their division and were also recognized as the Best Overall Middle School Orchestra at the festival!

Join us in celebrating these talented students and their directors: Mr. Wootton (Bode & Truman), Ms. Hile (Robidoux), and Mrs. Ritter (Spring Garden).

What a beautiful day to get off campus! The Benton Orchestra toured the K.C. Strings shop where we learned about instrument making and the importance of music education as tech and AI become more pervasive in every day life. Next, we went down the street for lunch at Ikea where many of us tried Swedish food for the first time. A big thank you to the K.C. Strings staff for providing such a wonderful experience. It was a great day of learning and community 🎻

We are proud to announce that on Monday, the Benton Orchestra earned its first Exemplary rating at the MSHSAA State Large Group Music Festival, held at Park Hill South High School. This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of our present musicians and the alumni who set the ground work. Earning an Exemplary rating at the state level is a true testament to excellence! Congratulations Benton Orchestra!!!

Congratulations to all performers at the MSHSAA District Solo & Ensemble Festival! We are excited to share that 5 events from Benton Orchestra are headed to state including our first string quartet 🎻 MSHSAA State Solo and Ensemble will be held on MU's campus Saturday, May 2, 2026.
