Rockhouse Productions

Rockhouse Productions As a production company our experience runs the gammut from small to very large events, regionally, internationally and with all musical genres.

Many of our most successful annual concerts are charity fundraisers so we are well aware of the many unique factors involved with keeping these events efficient and profitable. Though many of our events are out state, we are local and have relationships with all regional production vendors. From years of touring and managing our father ‘Bobby Vee’ we are very familiar with how a proper event shoul

d work, and how to take care of the needs of an artist while ensuring the event itself a smooth and trouble free experience. Our philosophy is to be very organized and meticulous with all details, starting months in advance, and to form relationships with tour managers. Thus, by the time the artist rolls into town we are already friendly and there should be no surprises or stones left unturned. During this process we would also do what we could to streamline the artist riders and save costs where possible. We handle all artist advance working closely with others on your staff as we define every detail and plan accordingly, hopefully removing some of their annual burden. We would manage the stages on the show days and ensure that all change overs are seamless and run on schedule. Additionally, we will coordinate the radio hosts and can act as MC in a pinch to keep things flowing smooth. Finally, we would be the main contact between you and all subcontracted production people (sound, lights, staging, video and back line companies) so you would not have to deal with any other contractors. We are also accustomed to handling hotel, transportation and hospitality advance with the artists and streamlining where possible. The Process
- Discuss details of your event/venue & determine your entertainment
needs.
- Present entertainment ideas & check routing options.
- Provide a list of Artists that best suits your event/show by genre,
price & availability.
- Check & confirm the availability of artists that you're interested in. Once An Artist(s) Is Selected
- Offers are issued that are tailored to your specific event – outlining
certain aspects of your event/venue that the artist needs to accept
with the offer.
- Contracts reviewed & addendum attached that outlines certain
specifics of your event & sent back for signatures by the artist/agent.
- We handle all the paperwork so you can focus on day to day needs,
- marketing, promotions, sponsors & selling tickets.
- Provide you with artist media/promotional materials to help promote
your event.
- Artist advance (hotels, transportation, hospitality, etc.)
- On site coordination - making sure your event runs smoothly
- Make sure backline is to par with the artist
- Arrange & coordinate lights, sounds, staging for the day of the show

Our brother, co-star, and friend, the incomparable Christian Hoff and his amazing daughter have been bravely battling multiple myeloma and leukemia, respectively, over the past year. Together, they have been receiving top-level care, and we look forward to Christian one day returning to the stage with us and a full remission for Ella. Today, we ask for your support of his family, as his medical care is a full-time commitment. We are ever-inspired by Christian and Melissa, and their beautiful five children. We’ve had the incredible talent that is Michael Shynes in the studio over the last few weeks and it has been such a blast! He’s got some killer songs coming out.

It has been an incredible last month or so. Currently writing a song with Glen Power from The Script, had a chance to work on a song pitched directly to a music legend (sounds like he is going to cut it🤞🏼) and tomorrow Jack Shore gets here from Amsterdam for three weeks of music making.

I also seem to have found my new studio home in Rockhouse Productions. And I’m not choosing that space because it’s local. I truly believe it’s where I can make the best records I’ve ever made. Bringing songs to the father son rhythm section of Tommy and Bennett Vee with wonder kid Isaac Levy at the controls, paired with one of the best sounding live rooms in the world, has us creating some special music that I can’t wait for you to hear.

On top of all that there is interest from a national booking agency. They could help open doors to the best possible rooms and venues for me, while also being willing to accommodate my desire to perform regionally and watch my kids grow.

All of these developments were a direct result of a shift in approach, combined with a realization that continual efforts to prop myself up as an individual artist does not feed my soul well enough. Helping people and becoming a part of a larger community is what has revived my spirit and ambitions in a much more meaningful way.

I want to help talented artists write great songs that can open doors for them, to help the incredible session and live musicians we have in MN get more work, and to help build this studio in Saint Joseph into a place that can compete with any studio in the world in terms of both sonic quality and artistic integrity. A place that nurtures artist’s core beliefs and view of the world as opposed being another factory for ‘commercial sounding music.’

And that was already happening there without me, but I’m grateful to the Vee family for opening their doors and allowing me to get involved. The future feels incredibly bright. And I’m excited for my path forward to be less about me and more about a collective of great people.

Woke up at 330 am and just started writing this because at the moment it all feels like some sort of spiritual revival. Like I’m that 17 year old kid again when I first picked up an acoustic guitar. It’s good to be back here..
