Amazing news!
I know we're doing Krampusnacht Downtown, Krampusnacht Fantasy Ball To Benefit The Noyes Home for Children, Krampusnacht Fantasy Ball in Downtown St. Joseph a week late this year. But since today is the day Krampus is formally celebrated, it seems like the right time to share with you some exciting news.
The Wayward Dreamers Guild applied for a grant through the Missouri Humanities Mini Grant Program and were awarded $2000 for Krampus 2026 by using this and previous years' efforts as reference. We are so grateful to all the people that committed to Krampus 2026 and to those that have made it an incredible event in years past. We exceeded the match amount by a staggering number when we accounted for all the donated time, expertise, energy, space, performances, and materials. While we collectively spend very little money on making this happen, the value of the event amounted to almost $20,000.
Our sincerest and utmost gratitude to the contributions of volunteers, scholars, musicians, experts, performers, and business owners. Every one of you that lent your name, resources, and efforts are dear to us. Thank you.
We'd also like to extend a thank you to The Noyes Home for Children for taking a leap with a fledgling organization in their first year. We hope to do you proud.
All said, it's not hard to see the value that can be generated when like-minded and mission-driven folks come together to do something special. It also shows that a small organization like ours with the help of our community can bring significant cultural value to the area. We love you all and hope to keep bringing culturally significant humanities programming to your beloved downtown.
Here's to you, Krampus 2026 and The Missouri Humanities!
