March 1 is 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐲!! ♿️✨

We are proud to report that all 18 holes at RDs are wheelchair accessible.
And we have a 10 hole route at Joe Town Mini Golf that is fully wheelchair accessible, with the remaining 8 holes workable as an option.🦼⛳️🦽

The Goals of International Wheelchair Day are:
💪 To enable wheelchair users to celebrate the positive impact a wheelchair has in their lives.
🫶 To celebrate the great work of the many millions of people who provide wheelchairs, who provide support and care for wheelchair users and who make the World a better and more accessible place for people with mobility issues.
👏 To acknowledge and react constructively to the fact there are many tens of millions of people in the World who need a wheelchair, but are unable to acquire one.

For 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗕𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 (𝗙𝗲𝗯 𝟭𝟵𝘁𝗵), our prizes will feature gift cards/gifts to some of my favorite downtown small businesses.

Downtown St. Joe is better than many people even know. 🤍 There are 20 retail shops, 17 food/drink spots, 12 health/beauty/tattoo spots, 6 arts/entertainment spots, 8 bars or nightlight places, and 10 services/venue/photography studios. There are at least 6 apartment/residence buildings that I can think of. It was bustling this Saturday with lovers and friends, and I popped in to spots I’d never even thought of visiting before, to purchase gift cards, like Hunterland’s Mall (and they don’t sell gift cards, but I found an antique Mason jar I needed). You can spend hours popping between amazing places, or just zip down for a quick errand.

I challenge you to make it a point to get downtown more. One place after another is unique and the only place like it. Can you imagine if our town only had chain stores and chain restaurants?
