The Actors Company Professional performing arts & training services The Actors Company is a training and performance organization.

Founded in 2008, the Company is run by J.T Turner, James T. Turner III, Marci Diamond, and various teaching artists. In addition to presenting theater works to schools, libraries and the general public, The Actors Company also offers coaching, consulting, and classes for all ages in acting, improvisation, voice overs, public speaking and stage combat.

“There is Nothing to Writing” –Actors Company Presents Ernest Hemingway to Westford Audiences

The Actors Company returns to the Parish Center for the Arts on November 29 at 7pm, but actor J.T. Turner will not be revisiting his role as Charles Dickens. This intriguing and enlightening performance will bring the legendary Ernest Hemingway to the 10 Lincoln Street stage in “Hemingway’s Last Drink.” Cabaret seating. Tickets range from $18-$22. Starting as a reporter in Kansas City, Hemingway’s punchy writing style soon elevated him to an internationally renowned author. The Nobel and Pulitzer prize-winning author explores love, loss, vulnerability, war, and human connection through timeless works like "The Old Man and The Sea," "For Whom The Bell Tolls," "The Sun Also Rises" and "A Farewell To Arms." Turner (SAG-AFTRA, AEA) is an award-winning stage, screen and audio actor, teaching artist and speaker. He has toured theaters, museums, schools, universities, historical sites, libraries, and senior centers all over the North America with his original one-man shows, including: “Robert Frost, Light and Dark,” “The Adventures of Benjamin Franklin”, “Shakespeare’s Ghost,” “A Visit with C.S. Lewis”, “Charles Dickens in A Christmas Carol”, “John Muir: Father of America’s Parks,” “Washington Irving in The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”, “A Visit with John Steinbeck,” and “Fitzgerald & Gatsby,” “Hemingway’s Last Drink,” as well as storytelling, mindful movement, and theater education programs.

Looking for a women’s history themed holiday program? “Tea with Mrs. Dickens" is performed and co-written by professional actress and teaching artist Marci Diamond. In this engaging solo show, Catherine Hogarth Dickens, in full Victorian costume, welcomes you to the Dickens' home in 1852, sharing stories about her life as a young Scottish immigrant to England, her favorite Victorian culinary and Christmas traditions, her own published book, and what it is like to be married to and travel with the most famous author in the world. Hosts may optionally choose to provide tea & refreshments for their guests.

Marci has performed this show for multiple holiday events at the Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation (Waltham, MA) and Dickens on the Strand (Galveston, TX), as well as for arts and historical organizations and schools across North America. Article about performance at CRMII:

Marci Diamond, MPA, is a VT-based professional actress, and member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity. Combining her background in history education, community engagement and performing arts, Marci has performed and taught at schools, universities, theaters, and community organizations, from New England to New Zealand. She was selected to the VT Arts Council teaching artist roster, with specialties in Creative Aging and Artist in Schools, and currently serves as the manager of NEK's The Actors Company.
