St. Johns Theater & Forensics Booster

Booster for the St. Johns Public Schools Theatre and Forensic Programs in St. Johns, Michigan. The Mission of this organization shall be:
To support the St.

Johns Public School Theatre Department (SJPSTD) and Adult Volunteers as they provide a Dramatic Arts program that is educational, provides skills in performance and is a source of pride for the students, the St. Johns Schools, and the St. Johns community. This will be accomplished by:
• Working to make the SJPSTD an integral and indispensable part of the St. Johns community
• Ensuring the Director

s and Adult Volunteers have the resources they need to achieve the objectives of the SJPSTD.
• Supporting the events and activities of the SJPSTD so that the Directors can focus on education and preparation of the students
• Helping students reach their potential and develop their appreciation of dramatic arts outside the classroom.

❓Did your high school have a homecoming parade? Did you help build your class float or walk in the parade?❓

💚Technically, it wasn’t the homecoming parade BUT we did participate in the Mint Festival Parade. We had so much fun decorating our float and reminiscing about our homecoming parades. We love hearing everyone’s homecoming stories and seeing pictures!💚

💚The Wizard of Oz is full of memorable locations.💚 The Emerald City, Munchkin Land, a spooky forest, and the Wicked Witch’s castle are just to name a few.📗🍭🪾🏰

🪩🎉We can’t travel to Oz for our adult homecoming BUT we will be transforming the St. Johns VFW hall into a magical Oz inspired room. This location is the perfect canvas for our vision to come to life. We are so excited for everyone to see what we have planned! 🪩🎉

📢‼️Calling all parents, high school, and middle school theatre students—we’d love to have you walk with us in the Mint Parade on August 8th. We will be passing out event flyers and popsicles. You can wear any school theatre shirts or Wizard of Oz inspired outfits.📢‼️

Only 14 days until tickets go on sale for our adult homecoming event!!! 🎉🎟️🪩

The Wizard of Oz story includes some interesting modes of transportation. Everything from a giant bubble, to a witches broom, a hot air balloon, and even a tornado. 🫧🧹🎈🌪️

The Wizard of Oz is full of iconic moments and backgrounds. From Dorothy walking down the yellow brick road to sweeping views of poppy flower fields and the Emerald City. The SJTF booster knew this story would be amazing inspiration for our adult homecoming event. Planning this event has been so much fun and we can’t wait to share more details each week!
