Pull up a chair…. We can discuss whether Staffordshire dogs deserve their own portraits, whether George IV was a bit of a stalker when he sent Maria Fitzherbert one of the first Lover’s Eye miniatures, whether miniature shih-tzus know (and care) what you’re saying, whether there is such a thing as “drinking too much tea,” whether the definitive Elizabeth Bennet was Jennifer Ehle or Keira Knightley (or whether we should all stop arguing and go read the book again), whether two bubble baths in one day is excessive, whether antiques remember their former owners, whether fictional heroines can be considered old friends, or whether it really is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

I don’t have many answers, but I do collect questions - as well as paintings, books, dogs, antiques, memories, and stories.

If any of that sounds like your sort of thing, then have a seat and I’ll put the kettle on. 🫖

Sometimes I forget how much I’ve actually done. Do you forget how much you’ve accomplished too? Is it a natural state to minimize and forget?

Here are prints from a series of watercolors I painted, based on and inspired by antique original eye miniature jewelry from the Georgian Era. There ares more than I remembered!
