Having your piercing done at the proper angle and your piercer understanding bevel theory is everything!
We are stoked that more and more clients are understanding that getting pierced with a hollow needle is the way to go over a piercing gun but it’s still important to find a piercer that is properly trained and knows how to use hollow needles correctly.
If you get pierced by needle method but the angle is off, then you’ll still be left wondering why you’re having such a hard time healing.
Sometimes a piercing is done at an improper angle right away, other times it can simply be that the client didn’t come in for their 4-8 week checkup/downsize appointment and then jewelry starts to shift and migrate at an angle. This is when piercings constantly get inflamed on and off and irritation bumps, NOT keloids, start to form.
