One reason I do not mat the art on the ship, is that it's much easier to take home if it's all flat and compressed. Also I like to give it a little extra look over and make sure that it's perfect before I put my signature on it, Mat, and frame. Those extra touches that give each painting a little extra oomph! 🙂
