Southern Utah Heritage Choir We aim to enrich our local community and bring people closer to Jesus Christ through music.

The Southern Utah Heritage Choir is an all-volunteer community choir that provides a rich blend of 200 mature and youthful voices and has been a standard of musical excellence for more than 26 years. It has performed hundreds of concerts locally and has toured widely, bringing the wonderful “large choir” sound to national and international audiences. Concerts include inspired vocal, instrumental,

and spoken word performances with the purpose of bringing musical delight to audiences everywhere. One of Heritage Choir’s hallmarks is creating a learning environment that is friendly, congenial, welcoming, encouraging, and that brings professionals and volunteers together to facilitate a valuable information exchange and shared goals.

There’s always something creative happening in Southern Utah! Tomorrow, our friends in Iron County are opening their studio doors for the 2026 Iron County Artist Studio Tour, a free, self-guided opportunity to meet local artists, explore the spaces where they create, and see how their work comes to life.

The Studio Tour is this Saturday, August 29th, from 10am-2pm, and admission is free! Tour maps are available at Kolob Gallery, 111 S. Main Street in Cedar City.

A new era for the arts in Southern Utah is about to begin! This Friday, Utah Tech University officially opens the new America First Performing Arts Center with "Raise the Curtain: An Opening Night Celebration", featuring William Joseph, Madilyn Paige, Travis Garland, and special guest Derek Hough.

We’re excited to see this beautiful new venue come to life and to be part of the many performances that will fill its stage in the years ahead.

We have exciting news! In October 2027, the Southern Utah Heritage Choir is headed back to Europe, and we’d love to have you join us.

Our next international tour will take us to Paris, Normandy, and surrounding historic sites from October 5–12, 2027. Whether you’re interested in singing with the choir or simply traveling alongside us and experiencing the music, history, and sights, you’re invited to learn more.

What a night! Thank you for making the Open House such a wonderful welcome to our new concert home. We loved seeing so many familiar faces, meeting new friends, and watching many of you explore the hall before choosing the seats you’ll return to throughout the season. Your excitement for what’s ahead made the evening even more special. And this is only the beginning.

Our new concert season is just around the corner, and we have some extraordinary music ahead. First up? More than 700 voices, one stage, and a very exciting guest conductor. We’ll tell you much more about that soon.

Today is the day! Later tonight we’re giving you a sneak peek inside our new home at the America First Performing Arts Center! This is more than an Open House, it's the beginning of a new chapter for the Southern Utah Heritage Choir, and we’d love for you to be among the first to experience it.

Come step inside the new concert hall, explore the orchestra floor and balcony, meet members of the choir. Try the view from around the hall, then choose the seat you’d love to come back to all season long.
•
Open House guests will also receive 25% off season tickets in every seating section. Regular individual ticket sales begin August 12. Whether you’ve supported the choir for decades or you’re simply curious to see this beautiful new venue, come celebrate with us.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to sing with the Southern Utah Heritage Choir? Come find out!

We’re welcoming prospective singers to join us for rehearsal on Thursday, August 6, or Thursday, August 13. It’s a chance to meet our choir, experience a rehearsal, and hear what it feels like to be part of the music.

Interested? Here’s how it works:
- Visit heritagechoir.org to fill out the audition interest form.
- Join us for rehearsal on either date.
- If it feels like a good fit, stay afterward to audition.

Whether you’ve been singing for years or have been waiting for a reason to return to music, there may be a place for your voice here. All voice parts and backgrounds are welcome. Come sing with us. We’d love to meet you.

We’re moving! For more than 30 years, the Southern Utah Heritage Choir has called the historic St. George Tabernacle home. Over the years our community has shared unforgettable music, standing ovations, Christmas traditions, patriotic celebrations, and countless memories. Now we’re excited to begin a new chapter.

This fall, the Southern Utah Heritage Choir will make its home at the beautiful, brand new, America First Performing Arts Center on the campus of Utah Tech University. Before our first concert, we’d love to show you around. Join us for a free Open House on Friday, August 7, from 5:00–7:00 p.m.

Come explore the new concert hall, tour the facility, see the stage where we’ll perform, and be among the first members of our community to experience this incredible venue. A belated but heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for Life Eternal earlier this month! To see the St. George Tabernacle filled with so many familiar faces, families, friends, and community members was deeply moving for all of us. Thank you for spending your evening and afternoon and your hearts with us.

One of the most special moments of the weekend was hearing our scholarship winners perform. Watching Sienna and Brayden step forward and share their gifts reminds us why community arts matter and why this choir continues to invest in the next generation of music makers.
•
For more than 30 years, this choir has been shaped by the people who attend, support, sing, volunteer, and believe in what choral music can do for a community. Thank you for being part of it.
•
While we’re still holding onto the spirit of Life Eternal, we’re also looking ahead. A new season is coming soon, along with some exciting changes and familiar traditions we cannot wait to share with you. Including one of our most beloved concerts of the year: Voices of Freedom coming this June. Stay tuned!

After weeks of preparation, the Heritage Choir is ready to present Life Eternal - a concert centered on the hope, renewal, and promise of Easter.
•
Join us tonight at 7:00 PM or tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 PM as we celebrate the message at the heart of the Easter season: that through Christ, life continues, and light overcomes darkness. This music reflects what Easter means to so many; peace, redemption, and the quiet joy of new beginnings.
•
We’re also honored to feature our two scholarship winners, representing the next generation of musicians carrying that message forward through music.
•
St. George Tabernacle offers free admission (no tickets required). Important reminder: Seating is first come, first served, and the Tabernacle has been filling earlier each concerts so come early to make sure you get a seat. Come be part of something uplifting. This one is special.
