Thanks to all the participants of Step Up for Pollinators at the Polk County Fair. A special thanks to Rene' for ALL the help with seeds, plants, and getting ready. Tim Erickson gave a great demonstration of honey extraction and provided great bee information. Chief Interpretive Ranger Dan Peterson from the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway brought great insights on our beautiful waterway and its inhabitants. Cheryl Whitman with the Ice Age Trail Alliance spoke about environmental education and hiking opportunities in our area. 20 hrs. Less than a day. At 6;30 last night we were collecting exhibits, we were loading our animals, some for the last time, we were hugging our friends and wondering how many miles it was back to the car and if we would survive the trip. Today at 2 the fairgrounds looks like this. Thank you to each and every one of you that came to the fair. Thanks for your hard work, thanks for your support, thanks for helping us to make the Polk County Fair the success that it is.

Sunday. Last day of the Polk County Fair. It's gonna be hot. It's gonna be steamy. It's gonna be a blast! As you wander the fairgrounds on Sunday, keep an eye out for some of these. Find them, collect them, keep them safe. At about 3:30pm, go find Mrs. Lutsey in the Crops and Natural Sciences building and see if she will trade you. The little ducks are for the older ones (let's say 14 to 18) the poker chips are for the younger crowd (easier to see...) and the gnomes are if you're lucky. Keep it fun and be a good sport! If you find something and think it could be hidden a little better, move it. If you have a handful and see someone struggling? Help them out! These are not hidden anywhere you will get hurt. You don't need to climb up anything, they're not inside anything, and they are not where you shouldn't be. Be respectful of other people's things! Pay attention to what's going on around you and have fun. Time to make some New Memories at the Polk County Fair.

Hey! I'll bring the Ice Cold Milk, you bring the napkins and let's go see Emily! She just won the Outrageous Oatmeal Cookie contest at the Polk County Fair! She labeled them 'Gourmet Oatmeal Cookies" on her entry card, but all the judges heard was the sound of angels as they tasted them. Congratulations Emily on your win and best of luck at the State Fair! Does 6:30 work for us to show up? Any possibility of warm, fresh ones??

Please check out the attached map of the fairgrounds and plan your adventure! Traffic patterns have changed and you will need to be aware that you can't necessarily get there from here anymore. R & D Towing, Jen Mueller, Rose Thompson, and Rick Mueller.
Just a couple of the completely unsung, unknown heroes that make the Polk County Fair what it is. They are responsible for making sure our new Gravity Box Basketball game was able to be moved. This picture was taken without their knowledge at about 12:30 in the morning. We mentioned in passing we wished we could move it around and like little elves they showed up and made things better. If you run into them at the fair, please say Thank you! If you happen to need a tow any other time? Call them!

Entry Pick UP! It's here!!! HOWEVER - - Do NOT show up until 1pm. Not at 10:30; Not at 11:15... 1PM. All entries EXCEPT those with extra wristbands and money owed will be picked up outside UNDER THE TENT. All the exception packets will be in the Admin building, but start outside. OK? Here's the High Points. 1pm. Outside UNDER the tent. Tomorrow, Wednesday - The Start of the 2026 Polk County Fair! Time to celebrate our Grand Traditions and start making some New Memories. See you Soon!
