Dear FEAR FIELD family,
This may come as a shock or surprise to some of you, especially with this being the 10th year of FEAR FIELD. This decision did not happen overnight, and it has not been easy.
For years, I have poured my heart, time, energy, and passion into FEAR FIELD. I never started it with bad intentions. My goal was always to create something fun, exciting, and family-friendly for people to enjoy. I have loved seeing families, friends, actors, workers, and customers come together and make memories on the trail.
But as a Christian, I have also been carrying something in my heart for a long time. I have tried to convince myself that what I was doing was not wrong or evil, but deep down, my heart was never fully at peace with it. There is a much longer story behind this decision than I could ever explain in one post, but I truly believe this is something the Holy Spirit has placed on my heart.
So over the next couple of months, I will be in the process of changing FEAR FIELD into Christian faith-based attraction.
The trail will continue, but it will continue in a new way — as a Christian faith-based attraction. I am still figuring out the best way to make that happen and how to welcome anyone who wants to come see it, experience it, or be part of it.
I want to be very clear: I do not look down on any other haunted attraction, actor, owner, worker, customer, or anyone who enjoys haunted attractions. This is not about judging anyone. This is not about thinking I am better than anyone. This is simply a personal decision that I feel led to make in my own heart.
I love people from all walks of life. No matter your beliefs, your background, your past, your lifestyle, or where you are in life, I want you to know that you are loved and respected. My heart is not to push anyone away, but to follow what I truly believe God is calling me to do.
To everyone who has supported FEAR FIELD over the years — thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for showing up, buying tickets, acting, helping, building, sharing posts, bringing your families, and being part of this journey.
There will be more information coming soon. For those who want to continue following this new journey, I would be honored to have you stay with me. And for those who choose not to, I completely understand. There is no judgment either way.
I love you all. Thank you for being part of the story.
Paul
