Last couple days for the Stranger Things section! We are changing it up because we are getting our Pokemon LE pinball machine any day now, allowing us to make the anime section more predominate in that area of the store. We are therefore trying to fund that new $13k machine by selling that section off and adding it to amount we got for the Alien pinball machine that used to be downstairs. The Stranger Things pinball is the LE edition, with only 500 made. We have the UV light Upside Down package on it and added the QR scanner so you can track your scores and rank worldwide. The machine has been regularly serviced and promptly repaired. The set comes with the lifesize Demogorgon we made 8 years ago, the tank with all the baby Darts inside, the light up ABC wall and ceiling christmas lights, vines, wall panels, chair and table. We also have an inflatable demogorgon and tons of ST party supplies and decor to throw into the mix! So come on down and take your last pictures with the set and play some pinball!

The Ghoul Scouts will be here during the St Patty’s Day Parade this Saturday! Troop 2116 will be making their Ghoul Scout debut this year, and have chosen to dress up as Creepy Clowns. This Saturday from 2-5 we will have horror author Matthew Salinas back in store to sign his new book, Real Television. Described by reviewers as Orwell meets Squid Game meets Saw, I think almost everyone that frequents the store would love it. The St Pattys Day parade is at 2pm, so please arrive well before then or after 2:40 so you can find parking. Easter is early this year so our most popular event dates of the year, our Peter Rottentail Portrait Sessions, have been set for Saturday March 21st and Sunday, March 22nd. This is our 8th year doing it! We have once again thrown pastels and white fur into a pit of darkness, shook it violently and dumped it all out upstairs, giving the bunny’s amygdala extra damage for 2026! Book your sessions now! For those new to the event, the concept is it’s just a regular cute little Easter set, and then the bunny ends up being a total abomination. Inspired by all the vintage Easter Bunny suits of yesteryear that were utterly wretched looking when they were intended to be cute, we play up the nightmare fuel, allowing you to ham it up. We go through several poses….ranging from the normal smiling “unaware what’s behind you” ones and then for through a series of “oh the drama and oh the trauma” poses, culminating in either in your group or the bunny grabbing faux weapons for the kill. Super fun for families! Little ones are in on the joke, coming into the studio area to meet the actor with the bunny head off. They are encouraged to touch the bunny mask and the claws. It’s rare if kids freak out after that. We do the same with dogs and other pets, so they realize there’s a human in there somewhere once the head goes back on!

It is pure utter demented fun for everyone involved. We have families come back year after year for it….pipe in with a comment below if you’ve had a session before!

And so the 8th annual Ghoulish Mortals Ghoul Pool begins! Deadline is Wed, Jan 14th at 11:59 pm. For those new to the pool of ghoul, the point of the game is to just have morbid fun sitting back observing the reapers reapings from the worlds plentiful bounty of famous people. Based upon your predictions, you can win some Ghoulish Mortals gift cards along the way. The game is totally FREE! You just need to enter online by picking 13 well known celebrities and one alternate, whose deaths will be reported by major networks, social media sources and Wikipedia. As the year goes by, your choices, whether by luck, strategic planning, or just ultra focused, eyes closed, fists clenched wishful thinking, will hopefully win you prizes. The general point calculation formula will be explained in the official rules link below. To keep things interesting, there are several particularly morbid circumstances prizes/drawings throughout the year that you can win as well. All lists must be in by Wednesday, January 14th just before midnight at 11:59pm. Gameplay runs from 1/15/26-12:00am to 12/31/26-11:59pm.
