We’re in this month’s St. Augustine Social, and it means a lot to see the whole idea in print. Gary McGeddy is the sole owner of La Casa Studios and 17 King American Bistro.

Writer’s angle is one we love: Gary McGeddy calls it “The Plaza Experience.” Two neighboring downtown businesses, 17 King American Bistro and La Casa Studios, built around the same belief that downtown St. Augustine should feel just as welcoming to locals as it does to visitors. Five Flagler College students take over the gallery for September’s Art Walk. Portraits, paintings of the buildings you walk past every day, quiet moments that stop you. Come stand in front of the real thing, meet the people who made it, and maybe find a piece you can’t stop thinking about.

Five Flagler College artists, five completely different ways of seeing, all in our Gallery for one night.

This First Friday Art Walk, we’re welcoming a new group of artists into La Casa.

Flagler College student artists are joining us September 4 to display AND sell their original work throughout La Casa Studios.

Come meet the artists, see what they’ve been creating, shop original pieces, and discover some of St. Augustine’s emerging creative talent before everyone else does.

And this is only the announcement. We’ll be introducing you to the artists + their work all week. 👀

Everyone wish Allison luck on her first day of 30th grade.📚🎓📓✏️

Allison reported for her first day of 30th grade this week. Teacher: Ms. Mattingly, who also happens to be our COO, so the pressure is real.
When she grows up, she wants to be just like her teacher.
We think she’s already there. 💛📘📔🏫🚸

Twenty-five years in hospitality, sixteen of them right here in St. Augustine, and still the most excited person in the building on a Monday.

The people are the whole point of this place.
