Pop Culture Playground brings comic artists each day to Ancient City Con!

SUNDAY Sept 27th Pop Culture Playground welcomes:

Roland Mann
Roland Mann is a writer, editor, and professor. As writer, he is best known for his work on Cat & Mouse, a comic which ran for nearly two years, garnered critical acclaim, was optioned by Hollywood, and led Roland to other work. Some of his other work includes Trumps, Switchblade, Beah, Silverline Team-Up, Miss Fury, Planet of the Apes, Battletech, Lita Ford, and Rocket Ranger. As editor, Roland is best known for his work as a Malibu/Marvel Comics editor where he edited The Protectors line of comics and many Ultraverse titles.
Currently, Roland teaches creative writing at Full Sail University in Orlando, FL, and runs the small press comic publishing company Silverline Comics.
Roland earned an MFA in Writing from Spalding University, a MA in English from the University of North Alabama, and a BS in Creative Writing from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Thomas Florimonte
Thomas broke into the comic biz way back in the early 90’s. In that 25+ years, he’s racked a long list of comic creator credits and has worked for just about every major publisher out there: Marvel, Malibu, Chaos!, Acclaim, Gallant Comics (to name a few)... His latest projects include new issues of Mystery Girlz, Zomboy: Kid Hero (INFERNO Studios) & Miniature Man series (Gallant Comics / Inks).
Thomas is also co-owner with his long time friend Barry Gregory, of the very popular comic printing company: Ka-Blam Digital Printing- The one stop print house for all comic creators. And also IndyPlanet- An online print-on-demand comics shop that works directly with Ka-Blam. Although never developing a southern accent, Thomas claims he grew up in south Mississippi, he now lives in the central Florida area with his wife Rene’.

Pop Culture Playground brings comic artists each day of Ancient City Con!

FRIDAY & SATURDAY Sept 25-26th Pop Culture Playground welcomes:

Terance Baker
A comic book artist, writer and publisher, Terance has been active in the Indy community for many years now and has been featured on several newscasts, podcasts, and interviews about His creativity.
Terance is the founder of Baker Comics, His own self-made title that He first created back in the 7th grade. Captain Defender, Pink Hammer are just a few of His many original characters that He enjoys making Comics about.
At ACC You can expect Terance to bring His latest Comic Book titles and see Him drawing live in person as well as taking on the spot requests for art. He will also be giving away something to the kids at His booth as well plus He will be premiering something brand new at ACC. Come on out and See Baker Comics!

Martin T. Pierro
Martin began his entertainment career at the age of 12 by publishing a comic fanzine titled “Metropolis Times” (later renamed “Cosmic Times”).
In 2009 he brought his vast knowledge of the entertainment industry to the Cosmic Times Media Group.
Under his leadership, Cosmic Times has published a wide array of diverse titles including Giant Robot Warrior Maintenance Crew, Deep Space Tragedy, Void of Heroes and many more.
Beyond his work with Cosmic Times, Martin has worked with other publishers including TidalWave where he wrote the immensely successful Bill Gates biography.
He is also heavily involved with the comic book community on a national and local level, advocating for the medium to be accepted beyond the traditional markets.
