Formerly the Alcazar Hotel, the Lightner Museum continues the tradition of providing unique spaces for special events. Built in 1888 as an entertainment center for the luxurious Ponce de Leon Hotel, it was visited by more than 25,000 guests. Countless more used the recreational facilities of the Casino and the world’s largest indoor swimming pool. Now, the former Pool and Mezzanine can accommodate

sit down dinners, receptions, dancing, and a variety of entertainment for up to 400 guests. A spacious outdoor terrace, weather permitting, can be used for additional seating. The Grand Ballroom Gallery is suitable for cocktails or passed hors d’oeuvres for 400. For up to 250 guests, the front lobby is perfect for a ceremony and light reception. The carefully restored library and board room provide a quiet, elegant spot for an intimate dinner or special celebration. For an incomparable experience in a world-class setting that is listed on the Register of Historic Places and has hosted celebrations for 125 years, consider the Lightner Museum for your special event.

Talk about a room reset! This space went from a serene ceremony to a full-on celebration, kicking off with a checkered dance floor and disco ball to set the party mood. For the dinner setup, crisp white and green linens paired with timeless gold accents made for a polished dining experience.

Some ceremony designs completely transform the feeling of a space, and this one did exactly that. Towering floral pillars framed the entrance before leading into a classic candlelit aisle, creating such a dramatic progression through the room.

The staircase reveal felt especially cinematic in this setting, and the evening flowed naturally into a cocktail hour surrounded by museum artwork, glowing chandeliers, and plenty of celebratory drinks.

There’s something about Christmas weddings in the Grand Lobby that just works so well.

Between the glow of the chandeliers, the historic architecture, and the warmth of the holiday season, the space already feels festive in such an understated way that a single Christmas tree was all this ceremony needed.

First looks never really get old, especially when they’re this sweet.

The shoulder tap, Joseph’s reaction when he turned around, and the quiet few minutes they shared before the rest of the day began…these moments always end up being some of the most emotional parts of a wedding day.

You can feel how excited they were to finally see each other.

The reception design carried all of the same playful color and texture from the ceremony into the rest of the night.

The marquee letters made such a fun focal point on the dance floor, especially surrounded by repurposed ceremony florals that tied everything together so seamlessly. From the long reception tables with bright pops of coral-pink florals to the seating chart accented with another ceremony arrangement, every detail felt cohesive without feeling overly matched.

Even the paper details, like the scripted place cards and coordinating table numbers, added to the overall look without competing with everything else happening in the room.

The florals at this wedding created such a unique focal point for the ceremony.

The mix of soft pinks, bright greens, and vibrant pops of coral-pink felt playful, fresh, and a little unexpected in the best way. Between the unique floral choices and the organic movement throughout the arrangements, every piece felt interesting from every angle.

And while the flowers definitely stood out, some of our favorite moments from these photos are Justin’s emotional reactions throughout the ceremony.

Stay tuned, because the reception florals deserve their own moment too.

The movement in that dress twirl photo alone could’ve convinced us this wedding belonged in a magazine.

But the rest of the gallery somehow kept getting even better.

The flowers felt especially unique, with trailing greenery and soft texture that paired so beautifully with the deep rust-red bridesmaids dresses, which just so happened to perfectly complement the architecture throughout the Lightner Museum.

And after an emotional first look in the courtyard, the couple’s sweet dog joined them for portraits, which honestly made the whole gallery even better!

Every seat in the room was filled with someone excited to celebrate Haley and Matthew, and you could feel that energy all night long. ✨

From their ring bearer making a memorable trip down the aisle to Haley’s heartfelt bouquet dedication to her mom, the day was filled with moments that felt personal and genuine.

And once the party started, these two even ended up behind the DJ booth themselves, which definitely kept the dance floor full all night. 🤍
