I was sad to see that Wain Harding had passed away. One of my favorite stories happened many years ago when I was showing a silver tabby ASH kitten, Carocats Enchantress. The Show was in a hotel on a beach in Jacksonville, Florida. I had flown down from New York with my kitten in an Egg Crate. The hotel had a bus pick me up but the air-conditioning wasn't working. The temperature had to be in the high 90s. We stopped at a gas station where I bought some ice to wrap in a towel to cool the kitten down. When I settled her in my room I went for a walk on the beach. There I met Wain and Donna Jean Thompson. They invited me to go swimming with them, but I hadn't brought a bathing suit. Wain said "Come with me", and Donna Jean and I followed him to his room where he loaned me a pair of his shorts. I was wearing a tee shirt and with Wain's shorts, I went swimming with them. Our joke was that "I had gotten into Wain's pants". We laughed about it for years. Wain was a gentleman with a sense of humor and it was an honor to know him.

There is a change of Officers. Theresa Kempton is replacing Granada Willis-Gelin as Vice President. Howard (Dick) Kempton is replacing John Gelin as Secretary. We thank Granada and John for all of their hard work to make the Ancient City Cat Club and shows as successful as it has been. We plan to continue to produce shows in St. Augustine, Florida on the last weekend of February and welcome our Exhibitors and their beautiful cats.
