This wonderful specialty shop in the heart of old downtown Saint Albans is just waiting to assist you with your next counted cross stitch or needlepoint project not to mention embroidery, ribbonwork, punchneedle and even rug

hooking! In business since 1987, the shop has accumulated an immense variety of threads and fibers from the basic to the exotic and from cotton to silk to metallic and more. The selection of fabrics and canvases are just as wide-ranging from 7 counts to 40 counts in too many solid colors and hand-dyes to begin to list. The walls display hundreds of models to suggest project ideas for you from the absolutely thousands of charts and books and patterns around the 1500 sq. There is also a framing workshop where hundreds of framed needleworks and keepsakes are turned out every year. And not to be forgotten is a delightful corner room with 2 large windows and 2 tables that serves as a classroom or just a room to bring your stitching and make new friends every day.

CSX has informed us that on Tuesday, June 16, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the entire 3rd Street crossing area, including the bridge and underpass, will be closed for CSX bridge maintenance work. The closure is necessary because rock and debris may fall during the project.

Motorists should plan alternate routes and allow additional travel time.

This is a separate one-day closure and is not part of the anticipated railroad crossing closures expected on or around June 25.
