UPDATE: Being the owner of Arriba Sahuarita Performing Arts has been an incredible journey, full of growth and amazing parent, student relationships. This past August, we made the exciting decision to shift our focus from the private sector and bring free mariachi and folklorico programs to local schools. At that very time, SUSD was seeking someone to help launch a similar initiative, and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. The support from SUSD has been unwavering, and we are beyond excited to begin this new chapter in January.
I am deeply grateful to Myrna Salinas-Cubillas and John Contreras for helping us spark interest in the schools and to Mariachi Pumas de Roskruge, Ballet Folklorico de Roskruge, and Mariachi Aztlan de Pueblo High School for their role as pioneers and ambassadors in starting this program.
A heartfelt thank you to all of our Arriba parents for your understanding and support as we navigate this transition. We couldn’t do it without you!
