A FREE museum featuring a collection of more than 200 sculptures that span the 70-year career of “America’s Public Sculptor,” Marshall M. linktr.ee/mfsmuseum

Fredericks (1908-1998), as well as rotating exhibitions featuring artists from around the world. The mission of the Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum is to celebrate the artistic legacy of Marshall M. Fredericks through collecting, preserving, presenting, and interpreting his life’s work for the educational and cultural enrichment of Saginaw Valley State University and the broadest possible

audience. Through the Marshall Fredericks objects collection and archives, temporary exhibitions, publications, and education programs, the Museum contributes to scholarly discourse and serves diverse audiences. To accomplish this mission, the Museum pursues the following strategic objectives:

* Promote awareness, appreciation, preservation, and understanding of the life and works of Marshall M. Fredericks.
* Embed an educational component in everything we do.
* Maintain the collection and present exhibitions of Marshall Fredericks and other artists in accordance with the highest museum standards.
* Foster the mission of the museum and Saginaw Valley State University through education, research, exhibitions, publications, and outreach efforts.
* Increase community awareness of and attendance at the Museum.
* Operate in a fiscally responsible and sustainable manner.
* Maintain accreditation by the American Alliance of Museums.

Due to current air quality conditions caused by wildfire smoke, the Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum will be closed Friday, July 17, and Saturday, July 18, to ensure the health and safety of our visitors, and staff.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we prioritize everyone's well-being.

The museum will reopen on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. during our regular business hours.

🎨 What an incredible week! 🌟

Our second session of Summer Art Camp officially wrapped up on Friday, and we couldn't be more proud of everything our campers accomplished! Throughout the week, they explored new artistic techniques, created amazing works of art, built new friendships, and filled the museum with creativity, curiosity, and laughter.

A heartfelt thank you to our campers, families, and instructors for making this week such a wonderful experience. We loved watching each camper grow in confidence and creativity, and we hope they left feeling inspired to continue making art all summer long.

🎨✨ That's a Wrap on Session 1 of Summer Art Camp! ✨🎨

What an incredible week of creativity, learning, and fun at the Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum!

Our young artists explored a variety of artistic mediums, learned new techniques, expressed their creativity, and made new friends along the way. From hands-on projects to discovering the museum's inspiring collection, it was a week filled with imagination, collaboration, and artistic growth.

A huge thank you to our talented instructors, supportive families, and, of course, our amazing campers for making Session 1 such a success!

We loved watching each camper grow in confidence and creativity throughout the week, and we can't wait to welcome our next group of artists for Session 2!
