Windy Ryon Memorial Roping

Windy Ryon Memorial Roping Benefiting community and educational programs for young men and women, since 1974.

Windy Ryon was a cowboy and businessman, founder of Ryon's Saddle Shop and Western Store in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards. There was always a pot of coffee on at Ryon's, and it became a gathering place for cowboys and ranch and rodeo hands. This internationally famous store was the background for many a wild west tale. Windy was usually in the store spinning yarns and trading stories with the

best of them. To honor Windy's memory, his friends held the first Windy Ryon Memorial Roping in 1973. Since that time, the roping has become a showcase to the world's top professional rodeo competitors like Dean Oliver, Roy Cooper, Joe Beaver, and even Walt Garrison. The Windy Ryon Arena, just north of the Fort Worth Stockyards, in Saginaw, has been the home of incredible rodeo action. The Windy Ryon Memorial Roping Association has proudly committed its efforts and profits to charities, and has contributed nearly a half-million dollars to various organizations that benefit young men and women including:

As the dust settles after the 52nd Windy Ryon Memorial Roping, I want to sincerely thank everyone involved for all of your hard work and support. We truly could not do it without each and every one of you.

Thank you to our committee members, volunteers, vendors, concession workers, county workers, announcers, contestants, and spectators for all the time, effort, and dedication you gave to make this event possible.

Vin Fisher was rock solid all afternoon. He came back high call to the short round and finished what he had started, to claim the victory🏆 He is the 2026 Windy Ryon Memorial Steer Roping Champion💪🏼

The Fisher name is well known in the Steer Roping pen, and for good reason. Vin Fisher walked away as the 2026 Windy Ryon Memorial Steer Roping Champion. We were able to hear a few words from him after his victory🏆

Trace Anderson and Reed Volf, young men of few words, making their names known! They were your #11.5 Team Roping Champions.

There was one team that rose to the top of the Windy Ryon Memorial #11.5 Team Roping and that was non other than young hotshots, Trace Anderson & Reed Volf. They put on a SHOW all morning. They took home the coolers and $8,200🔥🔥
