There are no easy answers when it comes to psychiatric drug use during pregnancy—but informed choice is essential.

Our new blog explores the evidence following last July’s FDA panel on SSRIs, where potential risks—like newborn withdrawal, breathing difficulties, and other complications—were brought into sharper focus.

At the same time, major health organizations rightly continue to emphasize the risks of leaving mental health struggles unaddressed.

As an organization committed to informed choice, we believe people deserve clear, comprehensive information about potential harms, alongside access to a full range of support, including non-pharmacological options.

This is a deeply complex and personal topic, and it deserves to be approached with both honesty and care.
