Those words hit a little differently now.

Dolly Parton knew what Christians have always believed: death is not the end. It is the doorway to eternal life.

She spent her life speaking about faith, Jesus, prayer, and the strength she drew from God. She wasn’t perfect, none of us are, but she understood that this life is temporary and that ultimately we are all preparing to meet our Creator.

So as we remember Dolly, we also pray for her.

May God have mercy on her soul, forgive her sins, and welcome her into His loving embrace. May she receive the reward of eternal life with Christ.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.

Rest in peace, Dolly. 🙏
